Steve Bruce could stick with three-man defence at West Brom
According to reports from The Atheltic, Steve Bruce could stick with the old system at West Brom.
Bruce revealed ahead of West Brom’s Championship clash against Sheffield United that he will bring tactical flexibility to the side.
However, the former Newcastle boss could stick with a 3-4-3 system that the Baggies played this season under Valerien Ismael.

Interesting
Bruce hasn’t promised radical changes, and rightly so, as it would disrupt the existing setup.
During his initial days at Newcastle, he stuck with a three-man defence used by Rafael Benitez.
He could choose to do the same with Albion who have used a more or less similar system.
Having said that, it’s a deviation from his usual setups. Throughout his career, Bruce favoured a 4-3-3 system or a 4-2-3-1 system.
It means, he always prefers a four-man defence. However, Bruce has vowed to be flexible in his approach.
Whatever be the system, there are some fundamental things that need to change. First, under Ismael, West Brom were too predictable in their approach, and there was close to no element of surprise.
West Brom have slipped a bit recently and they need points on board. Once the results start to improve, the confidence in the side is expected to return.
In other Albion news, West Brom duo Sam Johnstone and Semi Ajayi could return v Sheffield Utd.
