View: Steve Bruce will rue West Brom decision to let Robert Snodgrass leave club
Steve Bruce will be left ruing the West Brom decision to allow Robert Snodgrass to leave the club before his arrival.
The midfielder left the Hawthorns in January following a very public falling out with then manager, Valerien Ismael.
It was mutually decided on deadline day that his Albion contract was to be cut short.

Despite being out of favour at the club, Snodgrass took to social media to say he was ‘gutted’ to be leaving whilst wishing his teammates good luck for the rest of the season.
The Scot never really got an extended period in the team since arriving at The Hawthorns, and his exit was just as abrupt.
Bruce’s best mate
There are so many reasons for Snodgrass to return to the Hawthorns. He is obviously very familiar with the club, fans, players and life in the Midlands. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he still had his property there ready to move back into having only left a matter of weeks ago.

He and Bruce also have a great relationship. The pair have worked together at Hull City and Aston Villa with Snodgrass enjoying his football during both spells.
Bruce would be keen to bring in a familiar face who can come in and make an instant impact at the Hawthorns with no time needed for adjustment.
It was a real shame what happened to the 34-year-old under Ismael who fell out with what seemed like most of the squad towards the end of his tenure so the blame can’t be placed solely on the midfielder.
Bruce will be ruing that decision to let Snodgrass go before he arrived, as he would no doubt have built parts of his side around him.
