West Brom boss Steve Bruce says things must change ‘quickly’
West Brom boss Steve Bruce has implemented a ‘big change’ as he looks to get the team back on track for Premier League promotion.
The former Hull City manager has put the onus on ‘unity’ following the messy departure of Valerien Ismael last month.
The sights are firmly on winning games for the Baggies as they look to make a late push for promotion.

“My message to the group since I first walked in has been all about unity,” Bruce said in his latest West Brom press conference.
“I understand there has been a bit of unrest here recently. We’ve got to get everyone pulling in the right direction.
“I think it has been frustrating for a bit, but the only way you bring everything together is by winning games and going on a run. We know we’re capable of that.
“We have to start showing it now. There are 16 games and three months left. It’s just the right time to put a run together.
“I’ve implemented a big change because I think the players needed something to give them a big lift.
“There’s no patience or time anymore. We need to get a couple of victories pretty quickly and that’s why I’m here.”

Tough task
Bruce is saying all of the right things since taking charge of West Brom.
His character and experience make him the perfect man to turn things around at the Hawthorns. He has enough time to do it, but he is right in saying the team has to start winning sooner rather than later.
The Baggies currently sit ninth in the table after their 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United but there is still time to turn things around especially when you consider none of the teams above in the table are in breath-taking form.
The difference is, Albion have a lift in Bruce, the players will want to fight for their new man, and he knows better than anyone how to get promoted to the Premier League.
All the Baggies have to do is focus on themselves and pick up as many points from now until the end of the season, the rest will take care of itself.
It will be tough but it is very achievable.
