Steve Bruce convinced West Brom can turn it around after Boro defeat
Steve Bruce is convinced that he can turn it around at West Brom after the Baggies suffered yet another defeat.
Despite taking a lead (first time in five outings) through Jayson Molumby, they failed to withstand strong pressure from the home side, eventually conceding two goals.
Bruce was brought in to take the club to promotion, considering his experience, but the early signs are not promising at all.

The Baggies have picked up just one point from their last four games, but surprisingly Bruce is pleased by the effort put in by his players.
Bruce said, as quoted by Express and Star: “I was very pleased with the performance in the first half, from where we were at the weekend it was night and day.
“It was two mistakes – it was great to see (Dara) O’Shea back after six months, but unfortunately he made a mistake and that happens, but as I said from where we were at the weekend it was night and day.
“I am still convinced we can turn it around. We have eight of the 13 games at home, we have done well at home but we have to improve away. We have to get that first win under our belts and hopefully we can get it, we have a long wait until Monday, but the signs of how we want to play are there.”
Time running out
This is becoming repetitive for West Brom, and one struggles to find any positivity at the moment.
Bruce was brought in to steer the club to promotion, and so far, we have seen only lofty words from him without enough result on the board.
The Baggies have won just once in their last 11 games in the Championship and there is a gradual decline.

It’s easy to blame players for making mistakes, but the manager must also take his share of the blame as well.
West Brom were challenging for the play-offs under the previous manager, but they have now dropped out of the top ten.
Of course, a series of wins and a near-perfect result could turn the tide and based on the current form and performance, that looks highly unlikely.
Bruce seems convinced that he can turn it around, but so far there’s no evidence for such optimism.
In other West Brom news, Joseph Masi slammed the Baggies team after their defeat to Luton insisting they aren’t fit to wear the shirt.
