West Brom have ‘really big decision to make’ – Sky Sports pundit
West Brom extended their winless streak to six games in the Championship yesterday as they squandered a 1-0 lead away at Middlesbrough.
Jayson Molumby scored the Baggies’ first goal in more than 500 minutes of league football but Paddy McNair and Marcus Tavernier turned the game around in Boro’s favour.
The result leaves Steve Bruce still searching for his first win as Albion boss but he has at least seen his team score a goal, albeit at the fourth attempt.

Former Baggies striker Hal Robson-Kanu was a pundit on Sky Sports for the game and thinks the club have a big decision ahead of them as they continue to slide down the league table.
“Today was a really big game in their season,” he said, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail. “It was an opportunity to buck the trend, get some momentum back and ultimately begin winning games again – they failed to do that.
“Steve Bruce, now you can see, he’s looking at what positives they can take from that, but it wasn’t a great performance and it’s a long, long way out to Middlesbrough for West Brom fans and the journey back is going to be a difficult one.
“I think they ultimately have a really big decision to make in terms of what they do because they didn’t create many chances, they weren’t very effective up top, and actually the errors defensively were quite poor.
“So I think it’s a tough task with Bruce but then again if you look at that level what managers would you put in there? He’s got the tools to do it.”

Bruce Out?
Surely it is far too early to be suggesting that Bruce’s time at The Hawthorns is already running out considering he has only taken charge of four games.
That seems to be what Robson-Kanu is hinting at here though and in fairness, there have been no signs of improvement since Valerien Ismael got the sack earlier in February.
It hasn’t helped the 61-year-old that he was unable to make any signings as he was brought in just a few days after the transfer window slammed shut but it isn’t enough of an excuse for this barren spell.
This season now is just an experiment ahead of the next campaign where they hope to be challenging for promotion again, as they were supposed to this year.
The sooner the 2021-22 season is over the better for West Brom fans. Thankfully, they won’t be getting relegated but this form next season could see a totally different outcome.
In other West Brom news, they are hoping to sign this Premier League midfielder on a free transfer in the summer.
