‘I hope’ – Nigel Quashie reacts to West Brom defeat v Swansea
Former West Brom midfielder Nigel Quashie hopes words are being shared in the dressing room after yet another defeat on Monday night to Swansea.
The Baggies slipped to 13th place in the Championship table as they moved to just one win in 13 games, including six defeats in their last seven.
New manager Steve Bruce has completely failed to lift the squad since his appointment, with just one goal scored and one point earned in his five games in charge and Quashie tweeted out the fans are right to be questioning him.
Quashie also believes that it’s the players who need to take more responsibility on the chin for their performances, with the playoffs now looking like a long shot.
Fans were furious at the performance and result, with chants of ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ ringing around the Hawthorns during the game.
Bruce out?
It’s only been five games, but the change of manager has not had the desired affect that the board and fans were hoping for.
Bruce has tried to change the system to a more attacking side but has managed to find the net just once despite having players returning from injury and using different systems.

The club is well away from falling into a relegation battle this season but promotion is now equally as far away in terms of reality.
West Brom need points, not least because they still have the aim for promotion but because they need to stop the flow of poor form before things get even more toxic at the club.
Something needs to change and if that means that the manager needs to be sacked again, then so be it. Bruce is disposable and the Baggies need all the help they can get right now, so it’s probably worth considering.
