West Brom should plead with Sam Allardyce over return to The Hawthorns
Things could have hardly gone worse for West Brom in recent months with a new manager not seeing the upturn in results that they’d hoped for.
Valerien Ismael left the club in February after a run of no goals or points and Steve Bruce came in to pick up where he left off.
Five games into his tenure and the Baggies have scored just once with only one point to show for their efforts this past month.

It is sackable form wherever you go in football these days and Bruce might already be fearing the axe from the club’s hierarchy.
If it were to happen, there is only one man the Albion board need to call and he would come in to sort out everything wrong at The Hawthorns.
That man is, of course, big Sam Allardyce who has made a career out of saving sinking ships and getting them to sail again.
His previous stint in charge of West Brom in 2020-21 saw form pick up in the Premier League even though the club were eventually relegated and he left at the end of the campaign.

Despite the main issues being goalscoring and Allardyce traditionally a defend-first manager, he is surely the perfect man to come in and stop this freefall down the Championship table.
He could also set the foundations for another manager to take them back up to the big time next season which is where the club should be given the resources behind them.
The board should right now be on the phone begging for him to give it one last blast in the dugout and steer them out of this mess they have dug themselves into.
In other West Brom news, this journalist thinks Ismael performed “miracles” with the Albion as he takes aim at Bruce and the Baggies.
