West Brom have ‘zero confidence’ says talkSPORT pundit Charlie Austin
This past month has been perhaps the hardest for West Brom all season as Steve Bruce took over from the sacked Valerien Ismael with no success.
The Baggies have fallen into the bottom half of the Championship after a terrible run of results culminating in just one point from their last five matches.
Even worse than that, Albion have netted just once in that time and their freefall down the league table shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Ex-West Brom striker turned talkSPORT pundit Charlie Austin admitted he was sad to see his former side in such dire straits.
“It’s sad to see. That dressing room, half the team is still there [from his time at the club],” Austin said, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
“They look a shadow of themselves from two years ago. It’s crazy. I watched them last night and, I don’t know, they’re a team with zero confidence.
“From the second half of last season [it looks like], every player has had the energy sucked out of them.”
Austin would be the saviour
The Baggies’ lack of firepower has been clear for everyone to see for a long time now and there appears to be no end in sight to the nightmare.

Albion sold Austin to Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season and he may have only scored four times for the R’s this season, but he would have been the saviour for Bruce if he were still in the Midlands.
What the boss really needs right now is a proven goalscorer in the second tier and they don’t come much more proven than Austin.
The 32-year-old would be able to lean on his years of experience to guide the younger members of the squad through this tough time.
It’s something none of the current senior pros seem capable of doing and all the signs point towards a huge turnover of players in the summer.
