West Brom won their first game under new manager Steve Bruce with a 2-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday (March 5).

Karlan Grant scored a brace for the Baggies as they sealed maximum points on the day to be 13th in the Championship.

However, Chris Lepkowski singled out Matt Clarke for his display in the game.

Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, "Positive changes today, good performance and a deserved win. Clarke immense. Livermore and TGH also good. Much-needed points."

Deserved

After weeks of torture, the Baggies fans had something to celebrate about when they beat Hull.

It may not have been a win against one of the big boys, but it's three points nonetheless.

There were always doubts over Bruce's appointment and the groans would've been getting louder if they failed to win on Saturday.

Thankfully, for the former Newcastle boss, he managed to guide them to a comfortable victory.

West Brom

Another clean sheet for him and that will certainly go down in the pros column.

He has tightened this defence which was leaky under the reign of Valerien Ismael.

Clarke has been one of the players who's been playing with a new lease of life and long may it continue for him after a slow start to the campaign.
