West Brom to introduce new football board to improve transfer strike rate
West Brom are reportedly keen on leaving their comfort zone to restructure the club in order to improve recruitment.
According to Birmingham Mail, “significant” changes have been planned ahead of the summer transfer window.
They’re shifting their model of senior management which will mean that the strike rate of their incomings increases.

“There has been a change to the board of directors. The owner has become chairman of the club,” CEO Ron Gourlay said.
“We will have two or three new non executive directors and we have introduced a football board which is basically a decision making process for new players coming in.”
Hope it works
The Baggies have not been particularly well run in the past so any change will be welcome by the fanbase.
However, whether or not this is the right move is hard to predict, given how football works.
That said, it’s good to see that there’s someone at the club who’s refreshing and willing to stir the pot a bit.

While it’s not as radical a change as some would’ve wanted, given the current climate, it’s probably the right one.
Recruitment has always been an issue and this summer will be a good indicator to suggest whether or not the changes have worked.
