West Brom confirmed XI v Huddersfield: Mowatt starts

Steve Bruce has named his West Brom squad as he looks to register back to back wins for the first team since joining.

Huddersfield Town have been on a good run themselves so the Baggies may not fancy their chances against them for this one.

Alex Mowatt, who was an injury scare in the build up to the game has been given the nod to start and will play in midfield for Bruce’s side.

Bruce has stuck with the team that handed him his first victory.

Must win

If the club are serious about finishing in the top six then these are the games they must win.

Huddersfield will offer quite a few problems to West Brom, given their players and the run they’ve been on.

That said, it is not a foregone conclusion and Bruce cannot afford to set his team to play reactively like he has in the past.

This Baggies side needs to take the game to the visitors and give the home crowd something to cheer for in the initial stages.

Not only will this set the mood in the stands for the rest of the game, but also give the players some much-needed motivation as well.

Hopefully, Bruce has got his team selection right and it’s now all down to the players.

In other West Brom news, Chelsea want to sign a Baggies ‘Dynamo’ and are hoping to seal the deal quickly.
