Steve Bruce suggests West Brom striker Daryl Dike could feature v Bristol City
Steve Bruce has suggested that West Brom striker Daryl Dike could “possibly” return against Bristol City.
The 21-year-old was signed from Orlando in a £7million deal in the January transfer window, but he picked up an injury just a few weeks later.
While the American striker is unlikely to feature against Fulham this weekend, there is a slim chance that he could play next week against Bristol.

Bruce said, as quoted by Express and Star: “He’s only trained once with us, so it’s a big important week for him.
“Will he be involved against Bristol City next weekend? Possibly. But I think it will be after the international break when he’ll be in and around it.”
Improvement?
After a long spell out, Dike has been working on the grass for the past few weeks.
It was only last Thursday when he joined his teammates in a full training session. He didn’t pick up any further injuries, but the club need to be patient with him.
They have paid a huge sum to secure his signature and there will be the burden of the price tag on his shoulders. But Bruce should look to integrate him gradually into the side.

Dike was supposed to give a lift to the squad in the Baggies’ push for automatic promotion, but the situation has changed a lot since his signing.
West Brom have gone through a wretched run of form in the Championship and find themselves 14th in the table.
It will take a herculean effort from the players to get themselves into the play-off positions, although mathematically it’s still possible.
The Baggies have picked up just one win from their last nine Championship games.
