West Brom were ‘best team’ against Fulham last night – Marco Silva
Fulham manager Marco Silva has reacted to last night’s game against West Brom in which the Baggies came out 1-0 winners at The Hawthorns.
Callum Robinson scored the vital goal ten minutes into the second half after a clever through ball from strike partner Karlan Grant to ensure Steve Bruce’s Albion sunk the Championship league leaders.
Silva admitted after the game that he believed West Brom to be the better side on the night and fully deserving of their victory in the Midlands.

“It was not good enough. In the first half, we were not here – it was just our shirts on the pitch,” the Portuguese manager said, as quoted by Birmingham Live.
“I don’t want to be unfair on West Brom because they were the best team and they deserved to win.
“We didn’t express ourselves, and they did what we expected. Marek (Rodak) kept us in the game.
“In the second half, it was a little bit different. We had a big chance with Mitro (Aleksandar Mitrovic) where we should have equalised.”
Playoffs still on
Just weeks ago, a playoff charge looked like it was nowhere on the horizon after a string of poor performances and results under both Bruce and previous manager Valerien Ismael.

The Baggies had dropped to 13th in the Championship, which is the bottom half of the division, and they were only going backwards from there.
But Bruce has managed to dramatically turn fortunes around for the better at The Hawthorns and now they are a match for anyone in the division.
If this kind of form keeps up until the end of the season, there is no reason as to why West Brom won’t be in the playoff picture with a chance of a Premier League return next season.
In other West Brom news, Bruce has stated his verdict on Albion’s playoff chase after yesterday’s win.
