Jeff Stelling predicts result of West Brom clash v Bristol City, Neil Mellor disagrees
Jeff Stelling believes the good form of West Brom will come to an end this weekend when they travel to take on Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
The Baggies have picked up seven points from their last available nine to snap a run of six defeats in seven games prior to that, and now sit just six points off the playoff places with nine games remaining.
But despite that form, Stelling has made his prediction for SkyBet’s Super Six prediction game and is backing the Robins to earn a surprise 1-0 win at home against Steve Bruce’s side.

It’s not all bad news for Baggies fans though, as fellow Sky Sports pundit Neil Mellor disagrees with the main man and has backed an away win with Bruce’s side to get on the scoresheet three times.
If Mellor’s prediction were to come true, it would be the first time January 22nd and the first time under Bruce that they have managed to score three times in a game.
Bristol City are currently in 18th place in the league and don’t have much to play for this season, as they sit 15 points above the drop zone and 16 points off the playoff places.

Consistency
One thing this Baggies side have lacked this season is consistency, but under Bruce they seem to have started finding that now.
After switching formations and trying to find his best team, it seems as though they not have settled upon a strongest lineup and system and they’re flying because of it.
The win over Fulham in midweek was excellent, as they stifled the league leaders and blunted the best attack in the league to come away with all three points and an all important clean sheet.
The fans would now expect a win over Bristol City considering the recent form of the team and their aspirations to get into the top six after what has been a poor season.
They must win all games to stand a chance, starting with Saturday, and a big performance will be necessary at a packed opposition stadium. A win isn’t out of the question, so fingers crossed Stelling is wrong.
