West Brom match-winner Callum Robinson hails ‘top player’ Karlan Grant

Steve Bruce might have found his ideal striker partnership at West Brom with Callum Robinson and Karlan Grant enjoying life together up top.

The latter set up the former in midweek for the only goal of the game against Fulham as the Baggies sank the league leaders at The Hawthorns.

Grant is the club’s top scorer this season but Robinson hasn’t found those same scoring boots all year despite being a regular international with the Republic of Ireland.

The 27-year-old is relishing the connection he has with Grant and hopes it will bring further success to Albion in the future.

“Me and KG (Karlan Grant) – we have struck up a partnership playing up front,” Robinson said, as quoted by the Express and Star.

“He’s a top player, he makes good runs and I try to find him. He found me with a lovely pass against Fulham, a weighted pass.

“But when you’re a top player like KG, there will always be chances for me to create for him.”

Keep it coming

You won’t hear any West Brom supporters complaining at a strike duo who have that almost telepathic connection.

Robinson and Grant have looked more in tune with each other than any other Baggies players have all season and they proved just that against the Championship table-toppers on Tuesday.

They caused endless problems for Marco Silva’s side so imagine what damage they might be able to cause against some of the league’s lesser clubs.

Their first chance comes tomorrow when they travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City and Bruce will be bouncing with excitement at seeing his dynamic duo back on the pitch together.

The playoffs are still well within the reach of Albion if this upturn in form continues and Premier League football next season will remain the aim until it mathematically can’t be done.

In other West Brom news, Joseph Masi has argued that this Baggies ace is the best of his generation at one specific aspect of the game.
