Alex Mowatt delivers verdict on West Brom top-six chances
Midfielder Alex Mowatt has suggested that West Brom players will give everything to secure a top-six spot.
While Steve Bruce admits that it will be a big ask, Mowatt has suggested that the players are not giving up hope at the moment.
After a turbulent phase in recent months, there has been a noticeable improvement in the last few games.

Mowatt has admitted that they can’t look at teams that are ahead of them, rather they are focussing on their winning their games.
“It is but we have to keep going and keep winning games,” said Mowatt, as quoted by Express and Star.
“We can’t look above us. We just have to concentrate on our game and hopefully that will get us in the top six.
“We have got a week off, no game next week, we have to come back fresh, ready to go and give it everything in the last eight games.
“We still believe. We’ve started performing better recently. We need to believe and keep going.”
Tough
Under Valerien Ismael, the Baggies were sinking without trace.
Since mid-December, West Brom picked up only one win in their last 12 games, and it ended their play-off hopes for them.
Bruce was brought in to steady the ship, but he too has found the task almost beyond repair.
At the moment, the idea is to see out the season and make the best use of the resources the club has got. In the summer, probably a holistic approach will be taken to reform the club, irrespective of where they finish.

It felt like the Baggies have lost the hunger to win games. However, the recent results have been really encouraging.
The Baggies ended their barren spell with a 2-0 win over Hull City. They also picked up a 1-0 win against Fulham. They haven’t lost in their last four games, and clearly, there’s confidence in the side.
West Brom currently sit at 12th in the table, seven points behind the top six. With eight games remaining, they need to win almost every game to give themselves a chance to qualify for the play-offs.
In other West Brom news, Chelsea want to sign a Baggies “dynamo” and are hoping to seal the deal quickly.
