Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is predicting the points to be shared when West Brom take on Birmingham in the Midlands derby on Sunday afternoon.

The Baggies went into the international break after a 2-2 draw with Bristol City, which all but ended their hopes of finishing in the playoff places this season.

But they still have some big games between now and the end of the season including against local rivals Birmingham on Sunday at St Andrew's Stadium.

The Baggies currently sit in 12th place in the league seven points off the top six, while Birmingham sit in 19th place 14 points off the bottom three.

Despite that though, Prutton has predicted a 1-1 draw between the two local rivals in his Sky Sports predictions article which could only be seen as a poor result for Steve Bruce's side.

Momentum

Promotion is pretty much out of the window for this season now, but the team should be looking to end on a high to go into the summer with as much momentum as possible.

A local derby is always one to get the fans on side and Birmingham are hardly pulling up any trees right now either. With that said though, West Brom are struggling.

They seemed to have turned a corner when Bruce found his best starting lineup and they're now unbeaten in four, but they should be doing much better than they have been.

A defeat or even a draw to Birmingham would really cement what a poor season they've had, and the team should be doing everything they can to take home all three points.

It will put a smile on the fan's faces to get one over a rival, but also keep the tiny hope of promotion alive for another few days at least.
