Bournemouth have Freddie Woodman back for West Brom clash

West Brom welcome Championship promotion chasers Bournemouth to The Hawthorns tomorrow (6 April) hoping to bounce back from their derby day defeat.

The Baggies were incredibly disappointing as they lost 1-0 to Birmingham City on Sunday and things don’t get much easier for Steve Bruce’s side with the league’s second-placed team coming to town.

The Cherries themselves only scraped past Bristol City on Saturday but they have been boosted by the return of one of the players although two remain out of contention.

Scott Parker, Bournemouth manager, confirmed in his press conference that Freddie Woodman would be back in the squad after missing out against the Robins through illness [Bournemouth Echo].

Luckily for Albion though, prolific striker Kieffer Moore is still not ready to play as is Junior Stanislas to ease some of the concerns Bruce may have been having.

Uphill battle

With the exception of Fulham, Bournemouth are probably the best team in the division when it comes to sheer quality and Parker is getting the very best out of them at the moment.

Woodman’s return might not make much of a difference have played second-fiddle to Mark Travers since he arrived from Newcastle United but it’s the small lift that sways the pendulum more in the visitor’s favour.

All hope is not lost though as West Brom have proven before that they can turn up and upset the best this league has to offer on home turf.

Just last month, Albion dominated the entire game against the runaway league leaders Fulham although they could only score once.

If Bruce can organise his troops in a similar fashion, then maybe the Baggies could shock the league once more and keep their own faint playoff hopes alive.

In other West Brom news, David Prutton, Sky Sports presenter, has predicted tomorrow night’s clash at The Hawthorns.
