Taylor Gardner-Hickman won’t settle until West Brom are Premier League
Recent weeks has seen West Brom stop the slide down the Championship with just one defeat in their last six games in the second tier.
A portion of that success can be put on the shoulders of academy graduate Taylor Gardner-Hickman who has started every game of that run for the Baggies.
The 20-year-old is yet to score a league goal for the club but he makes up for that with a never-ending amount of energy that lifts the team when they need it most.

He isn’t content with a mid-table Championship finish though as he’s vowed to keep on working until Albion are a Premier League side again.
“I always work hard and I do normal stuff which everyone does in training, but I stay behind and do extra and make sure everything is done right,” he said, as quoted by the Express and Star.
“I’m not settling for what I’ve got now because I want to get this club back into the Premier League where it belongs and to do that, we need everyone from the staff and players to the fans.
“This season has been quite surreal for me. Even though I wasn’t meant to play in that Arsenal game, being involved in it has helped me kick on and gain experience after experience.”
Give him the armband
Those kinds of words are exactly what every West Bromwich Albion fan will love to hear, but we need that from everyone, not just Gardner-Hickman.
The 20-year-old is rapidly becoming one of the Baggies fans’ favourite players and rightly so after the way he’s been performing recently.

He’s been back in the midfield three where he is most comfortable after being shunned to wing-back under Valerien Ismael.
But that willingness to play anywhere and determination to win is maybe why he is the biggest leader in the dressing room even at just 20 years of age.
Bruce could do a lot of worse things than hand Gardner-Hickman the captaincy if Jake Livermore is ever unavailable.
There are other more experienced players that could don the armband but how many of them are really leaders like Gardner-Hickman has proven to be?
