West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone could be set for ‘sensational’ return to Man Utd
West Brom goalkeeper could be set for a “sensational” return to Manchester United, according to Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi.
The Premier League giants are “very keen” on taking him back at Old Trafford in the summer.
Johnstone has a contract at the club till the end of the season, and he has made it very clear that he won’t sign a new deal.

Dream return?
Johnstone started his career with Manchester United when he joined them as a teenager. He went on to progress through the academy before joining the Baggies in a permanent deal in 2018.
The 29-year-old has gone on to become a key player at the club and has won three caps for his country as well.
However, the journey is going to end soon, as he is eyeing a return to the Premier League. To be fair, a player of his quality deserves to play in the top flight, but it’s unclear where will he join.

Express and Star claim that West Ham, Tottenham and Southampton have both been consistently linked with a move for him, and he should explore that option if there’s an offer.
At United, he will play a second fiddle to David de Gea and would struggle to get games like Dean Henderson.
A return to Old Trafford is a tempting option, and he must make a wise move after considering all options.
