Sam Johnstone dropped – West Brom confirmed XI v Blackpool
West Brom will be looking to bounce back to winning ways against Blackpool, and Steve Bruce has named a strong starting line-up.
Steve Bruce has dropped Sam Johnstone from the starting line-up. He is set to leave the club at the end of the season, and Bruce has decided to start with David Button for this game.
Apart from Button, Bruce has made five more changes with Dara O’Shea, Adam Reach, Darnell Furlong, Callum Robinson and Karlan Grant all coming in.
Kyle Bartley, Taylor Gardner-Hickman, Conor Townsend, Grady Diangana have been axed while Alex Mowatt is injured.
Strong finish
The Baggies will be really disappointed with the 3-1 defeat against Stoke City in their previous game.
It shows that while West Brom can beat any team on their day, especially at the Hawthorns, there’s still a lot of work left to be done, in order to make them a force to reckon with.
Most importantly the Baggies lack consistency, and that has got a lot to do with the players at the club. With better players around, the results are bound to improve.

The play-off hopes are as good as over. Mathematically, they can still hope for the best, but in reality, Bruce and the club are already for the season ahead.
Having said that, the club must aim to finish the season strongly and get as many points as they can.
Blackpool are 16th in the table, only four points behind West Brom.
In other West Brom news, Bruce is worried about the fitness of one of his key players.
