View: West Brom predicted XI v Nottingham Forest

After a disappointing performance in the win against Blackpool on Good Friday, Steve Bruce is likely to continue his experiments for West Brom against Nottingham Forest.

Bruce made several changes for Friday’s game but despite claiming all three points, the majority of players failed to stake a claim for the shirt and the boss is likely to continue to test his players out for the new season.

That could see a handful of changes once again, despite the Baggies sitting just five points off the playoff places with four games remaining.

In goal David Button will continue between the sticks after Bruce confirmed he would start the next few games with a view to next season, with Sam Johnstone set to leave the club.

Bruce stuck with his back three formation, but there could be a few changes to the personnel once again in the heart of the team.

Kyle Bartley should return in the centre and while Dara O’Shea performed well enough to keep his place, Cedric Kipre should get the nod and make his first appearance under the manager.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman has been a regular in central midfield under this regime, but he could move back out to wing-back to cover for Darnell Furlong who played on Friday, while Connor Townsend should return and replace Adam Reach on the left.

Jake Livermore is the skipper and has been key under Bruce so he should retain his place, but with Alex Mowatt unlikely to recover from injury he should be joined by Jayson Molumby in the centre once more.

Andy Carroll and Karlan Grant were both on the scoresheet to continue their good form in recent games, and that should be enough to see them keep their place in the side.

But Grady Diangana should get the chance in behind them after Callum Robinson was booed by his own fans following a lacklustre performance against Blackpool.

Predicted West Brom XI v Nottingham Forest: Button; O’Shea, Bartley, Kipre; Gardner-Hickman, Livermore, Molumby, Townsend; Diangana; Carroll, Grant.
