West Brom embarrassment v Woking in 1991 features on Wembley Way banner
Tim Buzaglo’s hat-trick for Woking against West Brom in 1991 was remembered on Wembley Way this weekend.
Liverpool and Chelsea both made it to the FA Cup final with respective wins over Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
And as fans made their way to Wembley, banners were on show to highlight some historic moments in the FA Cup’s history.

One banner, unfortunately for Albion fans, showed an image of Buzaglo after his hat-trick helped Woking to a 4-2 win at The Hawthorns in 1991.
Olivia Buzaglo, a broadcaster and Tim’s daughter, shared an image of the banner on her personal Twitter account, saying: “My dad. On a flag. On Wembley way. The proudest.”
Eugh
While we don’t know what the other banners at Wembley Way had on them, we’d have much rather seen an image of Jeff Astle celebrating Albion’s 1968 FA Cup success over Everton.
Buzaglo’s hat-trick against the Baggies in 1991 was one of the biggest shocks in FA Cup history.
Woking were in the non-league while Albion were at the time in the Second Division as they lost the Third Round clash.
In the Fourth Round, Woking were only narrowly beaten 1-0 by top-flight side Everton.
It’s not a proud moment in Albion’s history. Thanks, FA.
West Brom haven’t taken the FA Cup seriously for a long time.
The last time the club went far in the competition was when Tony Pulis absolutely bottled back-to-back away games at Aston Villa in the quarter-finals in 2015.
Before that, we were robbed of a spot in the final by Portsmouth in 2008 when Kanu scored following a handball from Milan Baros.
In other West Brom news, Sam Johnstone has lashed out a fan yet again on Twitter.
