Luton Town could move once more for West Brom goalkeeper Alex Palmer
West Brom could soon face another goalkeeping dilemma with Luton potentially making anpther emergency loan move for Alex Palmer.
The Hatters find themselves in the midst of an injury crisis between the sticks following knocks to James Shea and Jed Steer, and Luton Today (19 April) reports Palmer could return to the club he made two appearances for in a similar deal last month.
However boss Nathan Jones suggested a lot depends on the situation at his candidate’s current clubs, which could rule out Palmer following the developments at The Hawthorns on the future of Sam Johnstone.

“You can’t only have one keeper in your squad, that’s the way it is at the minute, we’ll see what happens over the next couple of days,” he told the outlet.
“There’s a number of people on the list, but the club’s got to allow them to come to us and so on and so forth, but it’s tough.”
Big Call
With Johnstone set to go through the exit door at Albion, Steve Bruce is likely going to want to keep Alex Palmer as a goalkeeping option.
He was on the bench for Monday night’s capitulation at Nottingham Forest, with David Button starting and unable to do much about any of the four goals Forest sent into his goal.
However Button has been little more than a backup option since his arrival in 2020, and at 33-years-old doesn’t offer a long term solution for Bruce in a key position.
Palmer is an academy graduate at The Hawthorns and was notably impressive during a season-long loan with Lincoln City last season, making 46 appearances as they lost the League One play-off final against Blackpool.
The 25-year-old has already gained plenty of experience in several other loan spells and Bruce could perhaps be considering him for serious first-team involvement.
