Nigel Quashie responds when asked if he wants to be next West Brom manager
Nigel Quashie wouldn’t be interested in the West Brom job if it became available at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen whether Steve Bruce will still be in the Hawthorns hot seat next term with both him and West Brom possessing the opportunity to sever his contract for a one-week period in June [Alan Nixon, The Sun].
And if Bruce does go, one ex-Albion player who won’t be throwing his hat in the ring is Quashie.

When asked on Twitter whether he’d apply for the job, the former midfielder politely said: “Hope you and your family are all well.
“Sorry but I’m too busy with my IPSA Quashie academy and building an environment at my facility for the community to be proud of.
“Seeing kids get opportunities and helping them in life is far most important now!”
If not Bruce, who?
West Brom have taken rather left-field punts in two of their last three managerial appointments in the Championship.
Slaven Bilic did well initially, as did Valerian Ismael – albeit for a month, but neither were able to get a proper tune out of a squad of players devoid of quality, devoid of courage and devoid of discipline.
We can keep changing managers until the cows come home but ultimately the buck stops with both the ownership and the playing squad.
Guochuan Lai vetoed a move to hire Chris Wilder last summer. There’s no doubt that he would have banged some heads together and got this squad performing above and beyond what they have been showing us.
But Wilder’s tied up in a job now so who’d we turn to next?
Obviously, Quashie isn’t a name that anyone would consider but there’ll be the likes of Sean Dyche, Tony Mowbray, Michael Appleton and Wayne Rooney linked.
Would you fancy any of them?
