David Prutton predicts result of West Brom clash v Coventry
West Brom saw their playoff hopes ended in their last encounter but David Prutton doesn’t see their season getting any better when they face Coventry this weekend.
The Baggies were thumped 4-0 by Nottingham Forest on Monday night, after being reduced to ten men after just 17 minutes when Darnell Furlong was given his marching orders.
Now Steve Bruce can go back to experimenting with his lineup with their playoff hopes dashed, and Sky pundit Prutton believes that will see Coventry come out with a 2-1 win.

The Hawthorns hasn’t been a happy place for West Brom fans this season, with the season derailing early and never getting back on track despite Valerien Ismael’s sacking.
The team are now preparing for a second season in the Championship, and Bruce must use this as an opportunity to give fringe players an opportunity to stake their claim.
Meaningless
Other than for professional pride, this game is pretty meaningless for the current season for the club and the squad.
Outside of this season though, it’s very important. Coventry are relatively local and there is a small rivalry there, while there are players who need to convince the fans their futures are at the club.

On top of the players though, it’s also Bruce’s chance to prove he is the man for next season with his own future at the club far from secure after taking over back in February.
A win here would go some way to helping those state their cases, however it will seemingly be quite difficult for them to be motivated with absolutely nothing to play for anymore.
Fans will demand a victory, and rightly so, with three wins in their last four at home, and with their penultimate home game of the season they should look to put a smile on fans’ faces.
