West Brom need to have faith in Steve Bruce says Ally Robertson
Legendary West Brom figure Ally Robertson has backed current Baggies boss Steve Bruce to do the right business in the transfer window.
The 69-year-old made 506 league appearances for the club and says that the squad is in need of a clear overhaul after an underwhelming season following Premier League relegation.’
And he has backed Bruce to take charge of that transition despite trepidation from fans over him staying on at the Hawthorns.

“Our squad is in need of a major overhaul but I trust Steve Bruce to do it and I hope he remains in charge of Albion next season,” he told the Express & Star (22 April).
“Bruce knows a lot of people and a lot of managers in the game. He will be aware of players in the Premier League who are going to be made available for loan.
“And he has already said he wants the club to be ahead of the game when looking at players who are set to become free agents at the end of the season.
Plan Needed
Robertson is right that there will need to be significant movement in the market from Albion as they look to recover from this season’s disappointment.
Too many players have flattered to deceive this campaign and someone who can consistently finish the plethora of chances created by the Baggies is surely near the top of Bruce’s shopping list.
As for the future of the manager himself the jury is still out somewhat on Bruce with it unclear how much of it is him individually, the players, or a combination of both factors.

Fans are understandably a little apprehensive about the idea of the 61-year-old staying on when the likes of Sean Dyche are readily available, but the old saying of the grass isn’t always greener on the other side could come back to bite them should they make that twist.
Regardless of who’s in the dugout, it won’t be much use if the playing squad isn’t adequately reinforced, and that’s something the club have to get right over the summer.
In other West Brom news, Dara O’Shea has backed this teammate to be a big hit for the Baggies next season.
