Jonathan Greening urges West Brom to re-hire Tony Mowbray amid Blackburn revelation
Jonathan Greening wants West Brom to re-hire Tony Mowbray as their manager after he revealed he’s leaving Blackburn.
As shown in a video clip on the BBC Sport Lancashire Twitter account on Thursday [28 April], 58-year-old Mowbray confirmed that he’s not been offered a new deal at Blackburn despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Steve Bruce seems as though he might be staying at The Hawthorns as on the 22 April, The Athletic reported he’s set to stay in charge and oversee an overhaul of the squad in the summer.

Ex-West Brom captain Greening would clearly rather Albion went and made a move for Mowbray instead.
He took to his personal Twitter account on Thursday to say: “Get him back home.” The former midfielder then tagged West Brom’s Twitter account.
100%, yes
What hax Bruce done at West Brom to suggest that he’s worthy of keeping on?
Since he took charge, the results have, if anything, gotten worse and the former Newcastle manager has far from won over the majority of the fans at The Hawthorns.
Valerien Ismael was really bad. Bruce is definitely not better than the Frenchman from what we’ve seen so far.
Yes, the squad does need to be overhauled in the summer and that isn’t going to be an easy job for any manager.
But Mowbray is a master of this league and he’s proven previously with the Baggies that he’s capable of winning promotion.
While that was 14 years ago, Mowbray is still very much a popular man among the Albion fanbase due to the way he got the team playing really impressive football and assembled a very exciting squad of players.
Chris Brunt, James Morrison, Filipe Texeira, Roman Bednar and Ishmael Miller were all his signings.
Each one of those would walk into this Baggies team right now.
Mowbray is capable of an overhaul. He’s pretty much done it before at The Hawthorns when he lost Diomansy Kamara, Jason Koumas, Curtis Davies and Nathan Ellington, plus more, in one summer.
Come on, West Brom. Do the right thing.
In other West Brom news, Albion want to sign a player who’s been recently compared to Diego Maradona.
