West Brom not interested in Conor Hourihane, Karl Darlow and Elliot Anderson

West Brom are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window after a disastrous campaign.

According to Express and Star, the Baggies are not interested in signing either Conor Hourihane, Karl Darlow or Elliot Anderson in the summer.

Joseph Masi reports that there’s “no truth in reports” linking with these moves. These aforementioned players are not being considered by Steve Bruce at all.

Interesting

Earlier this month (7 May), Inews journalist, Mark Douglas reported that the Baggies are interested in signing the Magpies’ young talent.

Elliot is said to be set for a chance with the Magpies’ first-team though over pre-season, but it seems Bruce is not interested in him.

Another player linked with a move from Newcastle is goalkeeper Karl Darlow. The Sun claimed (15 May) that the 31-year-old goalkeeper is one of those players who could be set to leave St James’ Park as Eddie Howe is looking to sign a number one to challenge Martin Dubravka.

Sam Johnstone is set to leave the club as a free agent, and it was thought that Darlow would replace him. However, that is an option not being considered by Bruce either.

In April (28 April), Football League World reported that the Baggies are looking to sign the Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane who spent this season on loan at Sheffield United.

His contract at Villa Park expires at the end of June, and he will be available as a free agent.

Bruce will look to add players who can make a genuine impact and help the club achieve promotion this season.

Of the three Anderson looks like a massive potential, but Bruce has other plans. Will he go after Dwight Gayle?

In other West Brom news, FC Metz are the latest side to have enquired about this Baggies outcast who hasn’t played under Bruce since he joined.
