West Brom boss Steve Bruce waiting on Premier League clubs to decide on loans
West Brom manager Steve Bruce has outlined his transfer plans, saying he is waiting for Premier League clubs to assess their young stars.
Albion have had a strong summer so far, bringing in two of the Championship’s standout players in John Swift and Jed Wallace.
However, Bruce is not done in the transfer market and told the Birmingham Mail that he is now waiting on Premier League clubs to decide which players are up for loan.

“I knew we’ve got to do a little bit of wheeling and dealing. That was on the cards. We’ve still got a long way to go, but we’ve got our two principal targets,” he said.
“Now the Premier League is starting, usually they take the young ones with them, assess them, see where they are and if they want to let them out again.”

Who could Bruce target?
The report named two players Bruce is interested in, those being Aston Villa’s Cameron Archer and Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury.
However, both moves would be difficult for Albion to make.
Villa still have not made their minds up with Archer and intend to give him preseason before deciding.
As for Choudhury, he is currently earning £60,000 per week at Leicester according to The Times which is proving to be a massive stumbling block for Albion.
It is unclear which other players Albion could be targeting, though there are a couple who are reportedly available.
Keinan Davis could be available from Villa as an alternative to Archer after his move to Nottingham Forest was shelved (Birmingham Mail).
James Garner, who had his own terrific loan spell at the City Ground last season, could be available for loan, but Manchester United would prefer him to join a Premier League club (Manchester Evening News).
Finally, there is James McAtee who is being chased by a string of clubs, but Jordan Campbell reported on Saturday 2 July that he is set to stay at Manchester City.
Whoever Bruce has in mind from the Premier League, they will likely have a long wait ahead for them.
In other West Brom news, Bruce has ruled out a move for former loanee Okay Yokuslu.
