Callum Robinson exit held up by West Brom as they seek transfer fee from Preston

West Brom are holding up Callum Robinson’s exit to Preston because they’re looking for the Deepdale club to pay a fee for the Irish forward, according to Alan Nixon.

Writing via his Patreon account on Sunday (10 July), the Sun journalist reported that Steve Bruce is ready to let Robinson, 27, leave The Hawthorns on a permanent basis this summer.

However, it is understood that Preston only want a straight-up season-long loan for the Albion attacker, who failed to impress last season.

Hit an impasse

Albion and Preston have hit a brick wall in terms of their negotiation.

It’s no shock that West Brom want to sell Robinson.

While he managed to get goals and assists last season, he ultimately failed to impress fans with his poor work ethic and lack of impact when it mattered most.
