West Brom need to be stronger in transfer market as Norwich near Gabriel Sara deal
This could be a very frustrating summer for West Brom fans and especially when you see the moves other Championship sides are making.
Most recently, Norwich City have gone and beaten us to the signing of Sao Paulo ace Gabriel Sara [Ge Globo] and they are set to spend a huge £9million on the Brazilian.
While it might have been the money that tempted the Brazilian top division side to accept the Canaries’ proposal rather than ours, what will have helped them is the get-up-and-go attitude of their sporting director.

Stuart Webber went above and beyond to entice Sara to Carrow Road by flying all the way to Brazil, when he could have easily met the player and his agents via web video conferencing, to get the deal over the line, according to the Mirror.
They could see the rush to get the deal done with FC Dallas also eyeing a move and went to do something about it while we just sat there and watched them do it without making an effort.
That is not the attitude any of us would accept from the players on the pitch or the manager on the sidelines and it shouldn’t be acceptable in the boardroom either.

On this occasion, perhaps the cash was far too much but we should have still tried harder than we did to come to an agreement but Norwich have been allowed to walk in unchallenged.
We have to prove to ourselves more than anyone that we are not going to be pushovers in the transfer market and make a real statement with whoever we fancy signing next.
In other West Brom news, Ron Gourlay has claimed that the club are very busy behind the scenes to prevent a reoccurring problem from resurfacing.
