West Brom: Callum Robinson suffers pre-season injury blow as speculation over his future continues
West Brom forward Callum Robinson was forced off with an injury in the first half of the Baggies pre-season friendly against Northampton Town as speculation around his future continues to grow.
It has been reported by the Express and Star (7 July) that Preston North End are eying a loan move for the 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international.
However, a West Brom exit may have to wait after the forward was forced off in West Brom’s match at Sixfields as revealed by the Express and Star’s Joseph Masi via Twitter (13 July).
Awful timing
Everyone will be hoping that Robinson’s injury at Sixfields is not serious at all with a potential departure on the cards.
Steve Bruce could well be looking to move the attacker out of The Hawthorns in order to make room for further offensive additions.
An injury could well see the end of any potential move away for the attacker in this summer window and also make life harder for Bruce in his quest for further attacking additions.

Robinson scored eight goals and managed nine assists for the Baggies in the 2021/22 season and would certainly need to be replaced if he moved to Preston where he enjoyed time as a youngster.
It is somewhat of a surprise that Robinson has been linked with a move away from West Brom this summer after a decent attacking output in the 2021/22 season.
Bruce is potentially keen to recruit players that he trusts to put the Baggies back into promotion contention after a torrid second half of the 2022/23 season.
In other West Brom news, the West Brom shareholders have signed a non-disclosure agreement.
