West Brom should make move for Elliot Anderson after his recent comments
West Brom are in a transitional phase after having a below-par season where they ended up in the 10th position in the league table.
To improve those standings, manager Steve Bruce has already made some key signings and is in the process of looking for further additions.
One of the players the Baggies have been linked with in the past is Newcastle United’s young midfielder Elliot Anderson [The Athletic].

The Scotland U21 international was recently quoted by the club’s official website where he gave a glimmer of hope to West Brom by stating that: “I’d say for me, probably playing games is the most important thing, to be honest – carrying on my run that I have, and just trying to keep striving. Hopefully, that’s here, or if it’s somewhere else on loan, I’ll be giving it my all.”
Versatile Midfielder
Those words will be music to the ears of West Brom fans who may be hoping that Bruce makes an instant move to sign Anderson who is a versatile midfielder, known for his exceptional work ethic and ability to cover spaces.
He can run for days and could prove to be a vital edition in the pressing systems in any team. For any midfielder, it is equally important what he does with and without the ball and the teenager does both things really well.

Anderson prefers to play as an attacking midfielder but can also play on the left or right side of the midfield based on his positional awareness. He has the ability to pick out exceptional passes and also cover every blade of grass.
In the 2021-22 season, the 19-year-old played 21 games in League Two for Bristol, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.
He had a pass completion rate of 78% and enjoyed an average rating of 7.64 according to Whoscored. The teenager averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.3 clearances and 0.2 interceptions per game in the Championship last season.
He certainly sounds like he feels he could be playing elsewhere in the upcoming campaign, so it would be a plus if that was at the Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, this Championship manager has admitted that there is an Albion player that tickles his fancy.
