Okay Yokuslu agrees three-year West Brom contract, he’s on his way to England for medical
Okay Yokuslu is on his way to England to undergo a medical with West Brom after agreeing a contract to return to The Hawthorns, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The Turkish journalist, who works for Vole, reported via his Twitter account on Friday (15 July) that Yokuslu, 28, has reached an agreement on a three-year deal with the Albion after his contract at Celta Vigo expired earlier this summer.
It is understood that the Turkey midfielder will now make his way to the UK to undergo medical checks and finalise his return to the Black Country club.
Welcome signing?
It’s hard to not get excited about new signings.
It’s even harder for West Brom fans to not get excited by the return of a former player.
There’s that old cliche in football about never going back but Yoksulu may feel as though he has unfinished business at The Hawthorns as his loan spell with the Baggies in 2020/21 ended in a relegation from the Premier League.
After Yokuslu joined on loan from Celta in the January window that season, West Brom’s midfield looked infinitely better.
Yokuslu can’t be credited with all of that – but a lot of the improvement was down to him.

Unfortunately, Yokuslu slowed up as his loan spell went on and he started to look as though he was struggling to maintain performance due to his fitness levels.
And his terrible fitness was then proven in the Euros when he had an absolute shocker with Turkey.
It remains to be seen if he’s fixed that issue since but he struggled for game-time last season at Celta Vigo and, once again, was loaned out in January – this time to Getafe.
At Getafe, he played a lot at centre-back but we’d imagine Steve Bruce sees him more of a midfielder.
In other West Brom news, a former Albion star is training at the club’s training ground as he looks to find a new club.
