West Brom need versatile players like Elliot Anderson for promotion push

West Brom are interested in signing Newcastle United young midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer, according to Edinburgh News.

As per the report, the Baggies are involved in a 12-way battle to sign the 19-year-old in the ongoing transfer window.

The report further stated that the Magpies are still not sure whether to let the player leave on another loan spell.

One for the Future

West Brom manager Steve Bruce is famous for getting his side promoted and the same will be expected of him in the first full season at the Hawthorns.

One of the primary reasons why the Baggies struggled in the previous campaign was the attacking front where they finished with the sixth-lowest goals tally out of all the 24 sides.

Therefore, if Bruce wants to get West Brom back to the Premier League, it is important he manages to sign players like Anderson who could prove to be a difference-maker.

The 19-year-old’s versatility will be an asset for any club he plays for next season, something West Brom lacked in the last campaign.

In the 2021-22 season with Bristol, the teenager scored seven goals and provided six assists in 21 appearances.

He averaged 3.5 shots, 2.4 aerial duels and won four man-of-the-match awards. Because of this, he had a rating of 7.64 according to Whoscored.

This one simply has to get done.
