West Brom midfielder John Swift reacts on Twitter after 1-1 v Watford
John Swift has taken to Twitter to express his reaction after West Brom were held to a 1-1 draw against Watford in the Championship clash on Monday (8 August) at the Hawthorns.
The visitors took the early lead through Isamila Sarr who scored a 60-yard out wonder goal, but the Baggies restored parity through Karlan Grant in first-half stoppage time.
Sarr missed a penalty in the 73rd minute but it was the home side who looked more likely to score and should have won the game at a canter.
Swift has suggested on Twitter (9 August) that the Baggies “deserved more”, and has praised the “incredible” support of the home fans. He wrote:
Swift wrote on Twitter: “Deserved more after the performance last night but what an atmosphere. Incredible support.”
Cautious start
The Baggies were completely dominant in the game, and it is really frustrating that they failed to come up with all three points here.
As per BBC Sport, the home side enjoyed 70% of possession and attempted as many as 19 shots during the game.
Steve Bruce was left frustrated after the game and added that he was impressed with the tremendous reaction shown by his players after going down.

West Brom need more signings this summer, but if they can maintain this level of energy throughout the season, they have every reason to feel optimistic about promotion to the Premier League.
The Baggies have made a slow start to the season, having drawn their opening two games.
On top of that, they have been hampered by the loss of big-money January signing Daryl Dike with a thigh injury, but this performance will give the side a lot of confidence.
In other West Brom news, it could be a title-challenging season for the Baggies with Bruce’s experience unrivalled anywhere in English football
