Middlesbrough want to sign West Brom midfielder Alex Mowatt
Middlesbrough are reportedly eyeing a loan move for West Brom midfielder Alex Mowatt this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Boro boss Chris Wilder sees him as an ideal replacement for Marcus Tavernier.
After his exit to Bournemouth, they’re looking for a replacement and believe that the 27-year-old is an ideal signing.

Makes sense?
Mowatt moved to the Hawthorns on a free last summer after his deal at Barnsley expired.
Having worked under Valerien Ismael previously and sharing a good relationship with him, it did make sense for him to join up with the Frenchman.
The 27-year-old did feature regularly under Ismael but after his departure, he has struggled to get minutes on the field of play.
If Steve Bruce does not rate him then it does make a lot of sense for the Baggies to loan him out for a season and then take a call on what to do with him next summer.
Playing regularly in the Championship will only be better for him and they can see whether or not he then adds value to the first team in 12 months’ time.
As of now, sanctioning his exit may be the best thing for Bruce to do as it makes little sense in keeping an unhappy player at the club.
