Manchester City will sanction Liam Delap loan within days as West Brom make approach
Manchester City will give Liam Delap the green light to leave on loan this week amid interest from West Brom, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reported on 16 August that Albion have approached Man City with an enquiry about the 19-year-old striker, who’s the son of former Stoke player Rory.
It is understood that Delap is attracting attention from across Europe, “including teams that have qualified for European competition”.

Amid the interest, Man City are now ready to send the former Derby striker out on loan in the coming days so that he can earn first-team experience this season.
Solid addition
West Brom need to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes.
Daryl Dike is injured – again – and Kenneth Zohore and Callum Robinson are nowhere near good enough.
Karlan Grant has been in good goalscoring form but he’s missed a lot of chances in the first few games of the season and the ex-Huddersfield attacker does seem to prefer playing on the left-hand side of the attack and cutting inside.
Delap has very limited senior experience.
He’s highly rated among Man City’s youth set-up but has only played six times for the Premier League champions’ senior side so far in his career.
Delap is crying out to play first-team football and he’s definitely more than capable of being able to perform in the Championship.
Albion have started the season by creating a lot of chances and Delap should thrive on them.
Pep Guardiola should see that and view The Hawthorns as a good place for his budding young striker to learn as he’s nowhere near their senior side due to Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
In other West Brom news, Guochuan Lai has left Bruce up the creek without a paddle.
