Steve Bruce shares worrying transfer update after West Brom draw v Cardiff
Steve Bruce has revealed that West Brom don’t have a list of transfer targets at present as the window enters its final couple of weeks.
The Baggies have failed to register their first Championship win of the season and were yet again frustrated as Cardiff held Bruce’s side to a 0-0 draw at The Hawthorns on Wednesday evening (17 August).
After the match Bruce admitted that the Baggies don’t have a list of transfer targets and that patience will need to be required in the final weeks of the window.

As quoted by Birmingham Live (17 August), the Baggies boss said: “There isn’t a list, there isn’t a list, I wish there was!
“Absolutely we’re short but we still have two and a half weeks to go.
“We’ll see what becomes available.
“I’ve said always that you’ll need patience.
“I’m not going to turn it around in four or five months.”
Worrying signs
This is so frustrating for West Brom fans with the Baggies actually playing quite well in their opening four matches.
The home clashes against Watford and Cardiff should have seen West Brom pick up all three points.
Bruce’s side’s build-up play was good with Jed Wallace a constant threat for the Baggies.
However, the lack of a cutting edge up front is really starting to cost West Brom, with Karlan Grant clearly struggling for form at the moment.
The former Huddersfield and Charlton man looks reluctant to make runs in behind and really threaten opposition defences at the moment.

Bruce admitting that he doesn’t have a list is incredibly concerning for all at The Hawthorns.
A striker has to be of paramount importance to the West Brom boss but where that player is going to come from remains to be seen.
Prolific goalscorers are hard to come by at any level, with the majority of clubs in the market for one.
Let’s hope that with two weeks left of the summer window Bruce manages to draw up a list of potential targets and that there are a couple more incomings at The Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, it’s not just a striker that Bruce is chasing after late in the window as he has made contact with this African international defender.
