Hull City striker Allahyar Sayyadmanesh unlikely to play against West Brom

West Brom have received a major boost for their Championship fixture as their opponent Hull City are expected to be without striker Allahyar Sayyadmanesh.

The Baggies will face the Tigers in their fifth match of the league competition at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

According to Express & Star, the 21-year-old is likely to miss the match on Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury.

The report further stated that the Iran international is also expected to miss the first-team action the next month as well.

Boost

West Brom are off to the worst possible start to their league campaign where they are winless in the first four matches, drawing thrice and losing once.

Those results left the side in a difficult position already as they are placed in the relegation zone with just three points.

Therefore, manager Steve Bruce will be extremely pleased in getting any help can get and the absence of Sayyadmanesh will definitely going to please the home team’s fans.

Not only the absence of the 21-year-old but the overall record against Hull City will definitely give the fans something to be excited about.

Both teams faced off 19 times before in all competitions where West Brom have a clear edge with 11 wins compared to the Tigers’ four victories whereas four matches ended in a stalemate.

In the Championship, that record is even more impressive where the Baggies have won eight out of 10 meetings and suffered just two defeats in the process [Transfermarkt].
