John Terry spotted fuming on Twitter after West Brom suggestion during Chelsea v Leeds United
John Terry was clearly infuriated on Twitter after he was reminded of West Brom beating Chelsea during the Leeds United Premier League clash.
One of the few memorable moment for the Baggies fans from the 2020/21 season was thumping Chelsea 5-2 at Stamford Bridge.
With Leeds beating them 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, a presenter spotted the similarities between the two games.
Referencing that game, Olivia Buzaglo wrote, “This is literally West Brom all over again.”
Roll back the clock
The Albion were a Premier League club and those were undoubtedly better times at the Hawthorns.
They did get relegated that season, but the fans can at least be proud of results like that and they will live long in their memories.
Hopefully, the club now start making strides toward securing a top-flight berth once again as that’s where they belong.
Steve Bruce does have a good promotion record and he’s now got to deliver after the owners have put faith in him for another season.
There still is some work that needs to be done in terms of incomings but otherwise, there are no excuses for not finishing in the top six.
If not this season, there are real worries that the club may be rooted in the Championship for years to come like some of the big clubs of yesteryear have.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are set to battle Manchester United to sign an exit-bound Premier League goalkeeper this summer.
