FC Andorra make bid to sign Hannibal Mejbri as West Brom stall advances
West Brom are still on the hunt to sign Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri despite a new bid, according to L’Equipe.
The Baggies and cross-city rivals Birmingham City are the two Championship clubs that are keen on signing the Tunisian international in a loan move with Erik Ten Hag keen for him to get game time.
And United would prefer the 19-year-old to play in the English second tier this season but they are yet to decide where he would be best suited to playing.

Former Red Devil Gerard Pique is trying to hijack any move to Albion though and have now offered a loan-to-buy deal to Old Trafford for Mejbri with the club he part-owns, FC Andorra.
The tricolours have jumped the queue to make this approach and have included an option to buy of £21million having only just been promoted to the second tier of Spain this season.
On alert
Manchester United will surely not allow Mejbri to leave permanently this summer as they still hold him in high regard after a handful of appearances towards the end of last season.
Andorra’s offer is therefore more likely to be rejected but West Brom possibly needed this kick up the backside to put together their own offer before he heads elsewhere.

Blues will be thinking the same thing right now too and preparing their own offensive so speed is suddenly of the essence if they want the Tunisian teenager to play at The Hawthorns this season.
A naturally combative player, as Hannibal is, might not be the exact player Steve Bruce needs right now but unlike the likes of Jake Livermore and Okay Yokuslu, the 19-year-old has a star quality that can turn a game in a moment.
A midfielder may not be the transfer priority but this would not be an expensive deal to make and well worth the hassle.
In other West Brom news, talks have now begun over a Hawthorns move with this free agent who excelled in the Championship last season.
