West Brom striker target Lewis Grabban has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli Saudi FC
Steve Bruce will have to look elsewhere in his West Brom striker hunt as Championship veteran Lewis Grabban signs for Al-Ahli Saudi FC in Saudi Arabia.
Football League World revealed on 21 August that the Baggies were in contact with the 34-year-old over signing a one-year deal at The Hawthorns.
However, it is clear that talks did not progress with the free agent opting to move abroad after leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer.
Bruce’s striker search, therefore, goes on in what is proving to be a never-ending task for the Baggies boss.
Daryl Dike’s untimely injury has made signing a striker a rather pressing issue for the Baggies, with Karlan Grant and Kenneth Zohore his only options at the moment.
Zohore needs to end his time at The Hawthorns after a miserable spell with the Baggies since his move from Cardiff.
Bruce needs a more reliable striker to provide adequate competition for Grant.
The Baggies displayed in their last Championship match that they’re more than capable of creating enough chances, with Hull City being thumped 5-2 at The Hawthorns.

Grant got off the mark with a penalty for Bruce’s side but needs to prove himself a more reliable source of goals.
After missing out on Manchester City youngster Liam Delap to Stoke City, as well as Grabban, it is hard to see where Bruce turns in his striker search.
Potentially a player from League One or Two could be the answer.
However, that would almost certainly require a transfer fee, and it remains to be seen how much the owners will loosen the shoestrings for Bruce as the window comes to a close.
In other West Brom news, the club have reportedly freed up wages to sign a striker.
