West Brom player rating in Championship clash v Burnley
West Brom were once again held for a draw in the Championship, this time against Burnley while playing at The Hawthorns on Friday.
Jay Rodriguez’s first-half penalty plugged the home side back before Brandon Thomas-Asante’s 97th-minute debut strike secured a point for the Baggies.
Here are the player rating of the West Brom players from the match.

David Button – 3
Button had a poor outing on the night. The 33-year-old was responsible for the penalty and maybe should’ve received a straight red. In the second half, once again he was hesitant which gave a chance for Burnley to secure a two-goal lead.
Taylor Gardner-Hickman – 7
Decent outing but could’ve been better. The 20-year-old made two clearances but often found wanting on the right-hand side. Also, he failed to provide attacking threat that was required by West Brom to break down the opposition’s defensive line.
Kyle Bartley – 5
Had a decent night but was partly at fault for the penalty in the first half. Tried to make it up by scoring on the other side but unluckily, the ball hit the bar.
Dara O’Shea – 5
Looked short of confidence on the night and hardly put in any decent actions throughout the match. Was lucky to not give away a penalty in the second-half.

Conor Townsend – 5
Decent but couldn’t been much better. Provide some aerial threat from the left wing but defensive was not up to the mark. Made a couple of interceptions in the process.
Jayson Molumby – 5
Could’ve been much better but looked slow on the night. Provided just a solitary key pass and was unable to protect the defensive line as much as he should have.
Okay Yokuslu – 5
Had a decent outing but much more was expected of him. Yokuslu provided a couple of key passes and had a successful pass percentage of more than 80 %. He made a couple of interceptions as well.
Jed Wallace – 7
Looked one of the bright spots on the field and looked like one of the few West Brom players who could score a goal. Had joint-most number of shots (4) from West Brom.
John Swift – 8
Looked really bright in the middle of the park and created numerous chances. Provided six key passes, comfortably the most by any player in the match.

Grady Diangana – 6
Looked decent throughout and created a number of chances but the home supporters wanted more from him. Pass success ratio was on the low side as well.
Karlan Grant – 4
Looked unequipped to compete against a team like Burnley. Despite playing full 90 minutes, the 24-year-old could not register a single shot on target.
Brandon Thomas-Asante – 5
Could not do much after coming on to the pitch until the final moment where he scored the equaliser for the home team. Not bad of a performance in the last 20 odd minutes.
Matt Phillips – N/A
Jake Livermore – N/A
In other West Brom news, a journalist appears to have suggested that one of the deals was sent in before the cut off point.
