West Brom set to offer contract to free-agent Erik Pieters
West Brom are ready to offer former Burnley full-back Erik Pieters a contract, according to Lancs Live.
The Baggies were largely inactive in the recently concluded transfer window where they ended up making six first-team signings, four of which were of free agents.
It seems like they are about to make another addition to that as per the report, the club are considering offering a deal to Pieters who is training with the side and is a free agent after leaving the Clarets earlier in the summer following the end of his contract.

Good signing
West Brom came into this campaign hoping to improve on the last season’s performances where they ended in the 10th position on the points table and missed out in a bid to get promoted back to the Premier League.
However, the season started as poorly as anyone they could’ve hoped for as the Baggies had six draws from the first eight matches and they managed to register just nine points out of the possible 24 which left them eight points behind leaders Sheffield United already.

One of the primary reasons why West Brom are having so many draws is that they keep conceding the first goal, something that they must improve if they are to have any hopes of securing a better league position than the last time around.
Even though the transfer window has ended, adding someone with the experience of Pieters — who has played 225 Premier League matches in his long career — will definitely going to help in strengthening the defensive unit [Transfermarkt].
In other West Brom news, talks to sign this monstrous striker also broke down on deadline day after very late Albion interest.
