West Brom to sign prime target as Tom Rogic in talks, striker transfer also on cards
West Brom are set to finalise a deal for their “prime target” of a new midfielder as Tom Rogic nears his move, according to the Express and Star.
The newspaper has reported on its website that the Baggies are now locked in talks with the Australian as he prepares to sign on the dotted line at The Hawthorns.
Steve Bruce won’t stop there though, with a new striker said to be next on his list as he prepares to dip into the free agent market yet again.

This is a step in the right direction after the madness of deadline day.
West Brom were ready to seal loan moves for both Josh Onomah and Steven Alzate, but they collapsed at the final moments before the paperwork saw them both crash down.
Thankfully, there are no deadlines to bring in free agents, and they can still happen in the coming days and weeks.

Prime.
Rogic is a very interesting proposition.
The Australian is known for being capable of the spectacular from his time in Scotland with Celtic, with his experience going as far as the Champions League, playing against the likes of Barcelona.
Now he will swap that for The Hawthorns, and the chance to prove himself in England with everyone knowing the criticism of Scottish football.
After that, attention will then fully switch to a new striker to add on top of Karlan Grant, Daryl Dike and Brandon Thomas-Asante, despite his success on debut.
That means Kenneth Zohore, as suspected, is surely finished with The Albion, and we are now moving to bolster our central options with injuries and form a real concern already this season.
There are many experienced options around and available, but if someone with as much hope and promise as Rogic comes in, we have surely somehow saved the deadline day horror.
In other West Brom news, Ron Gourlay has now pivoted to a new market as he looks for multiple new out of window transfers for the Baggies
