West Brom ‘not done’ in free transfer market – Reliable journalist
West Brom are not done in the free transfer market with one more position being targeted, according to Birmingham Live journalist Joe Chapman.
The Baggies confirmed the arrival of former Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic on Monday (12 September) after the 29-year-old was released by the Hoops at the end of last season.
The Australian will be available to face Birmingham City on Wednesday but Chapman believes that there could be even more new arrivals to come despite the end of the transfer window.
“I suspect, as good a signing as Rogic appears to be, that West Brom are ideally not done in the free market, although Dike will be closer to returning after the international break,” he said via his personal Twitter account.
“Full-back is another area Albion are light. You’d rather avoid stockpiling average players at this point, mind.”
Value
With money as tight as it is for the Baggies right now, Steve Bruce and his scouting team have to try and find players available for cheap that can still do a job in the Championship.
Rogic is one of those as have been Jed Wallace and John Swift so far with Okay Yokuslu and Martin Kelly also arriving at The Hawthorns on free transfers over the summer.

The longer these players without a club remain so, the more willing they will be to drop down a level to just get playing rather than sitting around not doing anything.
Desperation can do weird things to an individual and West Brom were smart not to fall into the trap themselves late in the transfer window with plenty of holes still to fill.
A full-back would be highly welcomed on both sides and another striker never hurts but they have to be the right players rather than any old bloke who can fill in.
In other West Brom news, a BBC pundit has been singing the praises of this summer recruit who has burst onto the scene at The Hawthorns.
