West Brom put through their paces by Steve Bruce despite fixture layoff
West Brom have been dragged in for an extra days training session after the latest round of Championship postponements, according to the Express and Star.
Albion were due to face Coventry away at the Coventry Building Society Arena, however, all Premier League and EFL fixtures were postponed at late notice following the Queen’s death on Thursday afternoon.
It’s been a rocky start to the season for West Brom and this weekend’s fixture postponement may have come at the perfect time.

Head coach Steve Bruce seized the opportunity to put in some extra work and get his less than convincing Albion side back on track.
Blues fixture in doubt.
West Brom will now turn their attention to Wednesday’s fixture at home to Birmingham; this is yet to be confirmed as going ahead.
Albion will be looking to build on Brandon Thomas-Asante’s last-minute heroics against Burnley and gain some much-needed three points that has eluded them far too many times this campaign.
23-year-old midfielder Jayson Molumby spoke of his desire to help Albion push on this season and start picking up the vital points needed to make a Premier League promotion push.
“I’m obviously disappointed when we don’t win and look at myself to see how I can affect the game more and try to improve,” the former Brighton man said. [Express and Star].

“Always as footballers, if the team wins you’re buzzing, but if you don’t get wins you look at yourself
“I take a lot of responsibility with that because it hurts when we don’t win. I suppose it is positive (we’ve only lost once). The fans have been brilliant, especially at home. It’s massive for us at home this season to pick up points and climb the table.”
Fans who were hoping to see the debut of potential new signing Tom Rogic against Birmingham may have to wait a little longer.
The free agent is closing in on a move to The Hawthorns, however, the deal has yet to be finalised, he will add some much-needed depth to Steve Bruce’s midfield. [Express and Star].
