Lee Hendrie in awe of Scott Hogan strike for Birmingham v West Brom
Former Aston Villa man Lee Hendrie was left in awe of Scott Hogan’s second goal for Birmingham City as the Blues ran out 3-2 winners against West Brom.
The Baggies were blown away by three clinical strikes from the Birmingham striker as the pressure continues to mount on Steve Bruce.
Hendrie was full of praise for Hogan’s strike in the 53rd minute after an explosive counterattack by John Eustace’s team.

Talking on Sky Sports commentary (13 September), Hendrie said: “Well well well, you’re not going to see a better goal than this.”
Depressing
Bruce’s appointment was never warmly greeted by The Hawthorns’ faithful and now it will be hard to find one West Brom fan who thinks he is the right man for the job.
His summer business did get some fans on board, with his work in the free agent market there for all to see, but one win and six draws is dire form from a side that should be challenging near the top of the table.
The likes of John Swift, Jed Wallace and Okay Yokuslu would all walk into most Championship teams, which makes it hard to understand how Bruce is getting it so drastically wrong at the moment.

The worst part about last night’s 3-2 defeat is that it flattered the Baggies. Birmingham were more than happy to see the game out in the latter stages and West Brom can count themselves lucky to have been awarded a penalty after Brandon Thomas-Asante was fouled outside the box.
Pretty much the only positive to come out of the evening at The Hawthorns was Thomas-Asante getting on the scoresheet and making a good start to life at The Hawthorns.
The former Salford man needs to be given a chance in the starting eleven soon as Bruce desperately searches for win number two of what is proving to be a torrid Championship campaign for the Baggies.
In other West Brom news, it is now the last chance saloon for this Baggies midfielder as he secured his second loan of the season on Monday.
